Can I reserve a parking spot in advance?
For certain events that require paid parking, yes! For more details and to reserve parking in advance, please visit our Parking Page under the Visitor Info tab and Parking.
How many parking spaces are available at the Stormont Vail Events Center?
Parking is available for 2,500 vehicles to the east and south of Landon Arena. These lots are used for events in the arena, Exhibition Hall and R.R. Domer Livestock Arena. 320 spaces are available at the north end of the events center, between Heritage Hall and Agricultural Hall.
Without prior consent from Stormont Vail Events Center management, no long-term, non event-related, or overnight parking is permitted on events center property, excluding parking immediately surrounding the Capitol Plaza Hotel.
Where is your Accessible parking?
The first row of our East and SE parking lot is where the Accessible parking will be. There are elevators on the East side (in the Box Office) and Southeast side of the building to take you to the concourse level.
Where are Limo, Taxi, or car drop-off and pick-up locations?
You can be dropped off at the curb in front of the building to attend our events. There are ten minute parking spots that can be utilized to drop off patrons.
You can be picked up at the same location as mentioned above as well as any area of the circle drive.
Can I reserve an RV/Camping spot?
Our RV hookups are first come, first serve for all clients and events. It is $20 for a 30 amp, and $25 for a 50 amp (CASH OR CREDIT ONLY, NO CHECKS). We do have adapters for sale on site if needed. You can pay upon arrival at the security office, located on the west side of Landon Arena, in between Landon and Domer. We have on-site security 24/7. You can contact security at 785-554-3157. Facilities / Amenities
Can I bring food or drinks into the arena?
Outside food or beverages of any kind (alcoholic beverages included) may not be brought into the Stormont Vail Events Center. *One (1) unopened sealed bottle of water or one (1) empty water bottle is permitted per person.
Are cameras allowed for the Stormont Vail Events Center events?
For most events, at the request of the artists and/or leagues, cameras (specifically cameras with professional/detachable lenses and flash) are not permitted. The Stormont Vail Events Center reserves the right to examine and prohibit the use of any camera that conflicts with the policy set by the event. Audio recorders and video recorders are prohibited during all events.
Tripods are allowed in the balcony for certain sporting events, please call the Admin office if you are unsure whether that is allowed or not.
Can I smoke at the Stormont Vail Events Center?
In accordance with Topeka City ordinances, smoking is prohibited in all public areas at the Stormont Vail Events Center including the arena and concourses. A smoking area has been provided outside the NE entrance.
Is tailgating or overnight parking allowed?
Tailgating is allowed in the parking lot for some events, but not all. Please call the Stormont Vail Events Center (785.235.1986) at least 48 hours prior to an event to inquire about the tailgating policy. Overnight parking following an event is allowed only if a patron is inebriated. We allow 24 hours for you to pick up your car before it will be towed.

You can find out about events through our email service. By signing up you will be the first notified of event announcements, pre-sale and discounted tickets.

Who owns and operates the Stormont Vail Events Center?
The Stormont Vail Events Center is an 80-acre site in central Topeka owned by Shawnee County and comprised of thirteen structures operated and maintained by six independent entities. These include Landon Arena, Exhibition Hall, Domer Livestock Arena/exercise arena/stall barn, Heritage Hall and Gazebo, and Agricultural Hall, all managed by Oak View Group; a restored fire station; a functioning fire station operated by the City of Topeka; the county Weed Department and a maintenance barn maintained by SNCO Parks & Recreation; Capitol Plaza Hotel and Maner Conference Center, managed by John Q. Hammons Hotels; and the Shawnee County office of K-State Research and Extension.
Ticketing
What age does my child have to be to require a ticket?
Most events do not require a ticket for children under the age of two. However, in order for a child to have his/her own seat, a ticket is required. Some shows intended for young children (i.e., Sesame Street Live, Disney On Ice, etc.) require children over the age of one to have a ticket. What is Will Call?
Will call is located at the Box Office. If you purchase your tickets close to the date of the show, Ticketmaster.com will have an option to put your tickets at the box office for you to pick up rather than mailing them or printing them off. You will need identification and the credit card used to purchase the tickets
