Accessibility / ADA Compliance
The Stormont Vail Events Center is fully ADA compliant. There are elevators to use while on property as well as Accessible seating on the concourse.
AED locations
Landon Arena is equipped with two (2) automated external defibrillators (AED): one in the security office on the arena floor level behind section 120, and one device on the concourse level behind section 113. In the event of an emergency, please notify the nearest Stormont Vail Events Center staff member.
Alcoholic beverages
Kansas law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of twenty-one (21). Therefore, guests are required to show proper identification and proof of age when purchasing alcoholic beverages at the Stormont Vail Events Center. The number of alcoholic beverages served may be limited to one drink per person, per purchase. Management reserves the right to refuse service to guests who appear intoxicated or who are disturbing other guests. Beer sales are discontinued approximately forty-five (45) minutes before the end of the event. We encourage guests to drink responsibly and not to drive after drinking.
Animals
The Stormont Vail Events Center welcomes trained service animals on-site. Animals that pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others or are not under the control of the handler may be removed from the premises. Handlers may return without the animal.
Arena Entry
All persons, items, and packages are subject to search and metal detection. Management reserves the right to prohibit or deny entry into the building.
ATMs
A CoreFirst Bank & Trust ATM is located on the upper level of the Exhibition Hall atrium. This location provides easy access for people in Landon Arena and Exhibition Hall.
Please ask the security guard at the door of either facility for a hand stamp if you need to access the ATM. Security personnel can also assist you in locating the ATM
Attire
No shirt, no shoes, no service. The Stormont Vail Events Center asks that you are fully attired while attending events.
Bags, backpacks & purses
Permitted bags allowed include:
Bags and Totes that are made of clear plastic and do not exceed 12" X 6" X 12", or one-gallon clear resealable plastic storage bags, or small clutch bags or purses (which are not required to be clear) that do not exceed 9" X 5"
All other bags (including, but not limited to, large purses and bags, backpacks, duffel bags) and containers (including, but not limited to, cans, plastic bottles, thermos, coolers and or hard-sided bags) are not allowed into the venue.
Medical device bags and one diaper bag per family are permitted, though will be subject to inspection upon entrance to the venue.
Banners & signs
Banners and signs are permitted as long as they do not block the view of others, interfere with the event, contain advertising of any form, present a safety hazard or contain political or obscene material. Banners may not be affixed with any type of material that is permanent in nature or that alters the facility in any manner. Poles and sticks are prohibited. Building management reserves the right to remove any banner or sign. Signs may also be prohibited if requested by the event. For advertising signage please contact the marketing department.
Box office
The Box Office is located inside the atrium on the lower level. There are six ticket windows and one will call window to pick up your tickets. There is no service charge when you buy tickets directly from the box office for our events.
Cameras & video recording
Cameras are allowed in the facility for some events. We ask that no professional lenses or cameras are brought inside, if we see a patron with one we will ask that it be taken to your car. Other events will ask that no cameras will be allowed inside the facility, please call the Administrative office to make sure at 785-235-1986.
Charity & fundraising
Please call 785-235-1986 to inquire about any donations. OVG Hospitality, the concessionaire at the Stormont Vail Events Center, does fundraising for 501c3s. Please contact them at 785-251-5570.
Children
Ages for childrens tickets are 2-12 years old. Some events will have free admission for children under five. Please contact the Admin office if you are unsure.
Code of conduct
Please refrain from demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behavior, materials and speech while at the Stormont Vail Events Center.
Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow patrons. Please alert an employee of the facility if you notice a dangerous situation or someone in distress.
Concessions
Concessions are provided by OVG Hospitality. There are concession stands on both the North and South upper concourse levels.
The number of concession stands and the availability of alcohol are determined by the needs of each event and are subject to change. Food offerings may differ among concession stands. Hours and availability are subject to change.
Contests
Our social media and textline followers regularly enjoy contests or sweepstakes for free tickets to some upcoming shows held at the venue. They are also the first to know about discounts, pre-sales and on-sale tickets.
Credit card policy
The Stormont Vail Events Center accepts all forms of credit cards except American Express.
Diaper changing stations
There are diaper changing stations located in both the mens and womens restrooms on the SW and NE concourse.
Disturbances
Fan courtesy is an important element of enjoyment at the Stormont Vail Events Center. Improper conduct (including profane or abusive language and the throwing of objects) may result in ejection from the facility. Repeated offenses could result in the loss of ticket privileges
Elevators
There are two elevators for patrons to utilize during events at the facility. One is located in the atrium by the box office to take you upstairs to the concourse level to enter events in Landon arena. The other is located inside the handicap entrance that will take you upstairs to the handicap seating and the upper level concourse.
Emergency evacuation
In the event of an emergency, please remain calm and WALK to the nearest exit in an orderly fashion. Follow posted signs and listen to announcements for specific instructions. In some circumstances you will be directed to remain in the building and staff will direct you where to go. Please do not use the elevators.
Entrances
There are many entrances to access the Stormont Vail Events Center. The NE upper level concourse is usually the main entrance for events. There is a SW upper level concourse that is available to use during certain events. The Accessible entrance is located on the lower level SE side of the Landon Arena. To access the Box Office in the atrium or Exhibition Hall please use the lower level E entrance.

Follow us on social media for up to date event information! If you cannot locate the info you are looking for please call the Admin office at 785-235-1986. Office hours are 8-5, Monday-Friday.
First aid
The First Aid Station is located on the NE concourse across from Section 114. In the event of an emergency, please go to the first available officer or staff member for assistance.
Handouts
The distribution of promotional items, handbills, flyers, pamphlets, printed materials, as well as the solicitation of signatures, is not permitted on Stormont Vail Events Center property without prior written authorization from the Stormont Vail Events Center
Hotels
The Hotel Topeka at City Center is located on site. There are a number of other hotels close by, please contact Visit Topeka, Inc or call the Admin Office for a complete list.
Lost children or companions
Lost children should be escorted to the nearest officer or staff member. The lost child will be assisted at a Guest Services location. In the event that you become separated from your child or a member of your party, you will also want to contact the nearest officer or staff member.
Lost & Found
Lost and found items will be located in the Security Office. The Stormont Vail Events Center guards log every lost and found item. Please contact the Admin Office at 785-235-1986.
Media
Media entrance is located at the handicap entrance on the lower SE side of the building
Merchandise
Merchandise is handled by each show/event. There will be booths located on the concourse level that sell merchandise and novelty items.
Mother's Room for Nursing & Pumping
To access our Mother's room page, hover over 'Visitor Info" at the top of the page and at the very bottom of the list you will see "Mother's Room'. Click it and it will take you to our page dedicated to our Stormont Vail Mother's Room.
National Anthem singers
To sing the national anthem at an event you will need to contact the show promoters of that certain event.
Parking
Parking at the Stormont Vail Events Center typically ranges between $5 and $10. Some events will not have a charge to park. For more details and to reserve parking in advance, please visit our Parking Page under the Visitor Info tab and Parking.
Prohibited items
We ask all guests to arrive early and travel light, as you may be subject to search, which includes metal-detecting hand wands upon entry. For safety reasons, prohibited items include but are not limited to:
-Alcohol, drugs, illegal substances or any paraphernalia associated with drug use
-Audio/Video recorders, professional cameras, tripods
-Selfie Sticks
-Cans, bottles, coolers or other similar containers
-Fireworks
-Flags/Signs with poles
-Laser pens/pointers of any type
-Noisemakers such as air horns
-Outside food or drinks
-Non-clear, and/or oversized bags, backpacks, duffel bags, diaper bags. (see Bag policy for details)
-Pepper spray/Mace
-Weapons of any type, including chains, knives, firearms and spiked jewelry
-Any other item deemed unacceptable by event/building management.
If an item is revealed during a search, patrons may dispose of the item or they may return the item to their vehicle. The Stormont Vail Events Center does not safeguard any personal belongings or items of any type.
Re-entry
We do not allow re-entry into the facility after you have left the venue.
Refunds
The Stormont Vail Events Center does not do refunds or exchanges unless there is a cancellation of an event.
Restrooms
There are four womens and four mens restrooms on the concourse level.
RV Spots On-site
Our RV hookups are first come, first serve for most events. We have electrical and water hook ups, as well as a dump station. It is $35 for a 30 amp, and $50 for a 50 amp (CASH OR CREDIT ONLY, NO CHECKS). We do have adapters for sale on site if needed. You can pay upon arrival at the security office, located on the west side of Landon Arena, in between Landon and Domer. We have on-site security 24/7. You can contact security at 785-554-3157. *Blizzard Bash and Capital City Carnage are among the few events that allow RV Parking to be reserved in advance. When reservations for RV Parking open up for these events, we will announce on our Facebook page at FB.com/StormontVailEventsCenter

Scalping
Guests may not re-sell tickets at any price on Stormont Vail Events Center property. To avoid problems with counterfeit, stolen, void or other invalid tickets, tickets should only be purchased from an authorized Ticketmaster outlet or from the Box Office.
Security
Stormont Vail Events Center staffs our own security and off-duty Topeka police officers to provide security before, during and after events. The Stormont Vail Events Center will base event security on the Homeland Security National Threat Advisory Level along with the performer’s security rider.
Smoking policy
There is no smoking allowed inside the building. There are designated areas outside the NE and SW concourse entrances that are smoking areas. Most events will have just the NE area available for use.

Strollers
The Stormont Vail Events Center allows strollers inside the building, including Landon Arena, but we ask that they be kept out of the way of the other paying patrons views and out of the aisles. Please avoid bringing strollers whenever possible.
Tickets
Tickets for most events are available at the Stormont Vail Events Center Box Office, as well as through Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-754-3000 or at any Ticketmaster outlet.
Telephone
The Stormont Vail Events Center does not have a pay phone on property. If you need to use a phone please ask a security guard or an operations personnel for help.
Umbrellas
The Stormont Vail Events Center allows umbrellas inside the building during inclement weather. We ask that they not be kept in the aisles and they do not block another patrons view of the show.
Video cameras
Video cameras are not allowed inside the venue during events unless as a part of media outfit.
Water fountains
Water fountains are located on the NE and SW upper concourse level.
Wheelchairs
There are three wheelchairs for patrons to use while at the facility. They are first come first served and we will require an ID or DL to hold while in use. Please contact a security guard or operations personnel.
WiFi
WiFi is available inside the building for use.
Zamboni
Due to safety concerns, the Stormont Vail Events Center is unable to offer rides on the ice resurfacing machine.
